Holiday House Conwy - How to have an eggcellent Easter in Conwy

It is nearly time to go and find the Easter bunny in North Wales. Whether you are after a traditional Easter egg hunt, or something a little bit different, here are a few ‘not to be missed’ adventures taking place in and around Conwy this Easter.

If you want to treat the little ones (and yourselves!) to something a bit different head to Zip World Dragon Fforest between the 6th and 28th April. It’s just as much about dragons as bunnies here. Soar along the Dragon flyer and spot as much treasure as possible on your way to the top. Solve all the puzzles on Treetop adventures and make sure you collect your treasure as you make your way along the Hoppity Hoppers adventure course. Traditional Easter fun such as face painting, egg hunts and crafts will be available too.

If all that flying, hopping and zipping is a bit too much head to the Conwy RSPB for an animal families quiz and trail that will take you around the reserve. Or take part in a traditional Easter egg hunt. Get hands on with some Easter crafts to take home too.

If history is more your thing you can go back in time at the Easter Sword search at Conwy castle. As well as hunting around the castle for missing swords you can design your own shield and learn about medieval weaponry. If one castle isn’t enough, head over to Beaumaris and enrol in Knights School where you can try on armour, join a spear drill and enjoy jester workshops, bird of prey demonstrations and learn what life was really like 700 years ago.

We all need one traditional Easter egg hunt, and no one does this better than the National Trust’s Bodnant Gardens in the Conwy valley. Let the kids lead you on an adventure through beautiful fields and woods whilst they hunt for their eggs.

For the ultimate Easter egg hunt with a difference, the North Wales Wildlife Trust will have you searching for shark eggs! And at the same time you will be helping our smaller shark populations.

Last but not least, and back to the chocolate variety of eggs, nothing beats a family day out at Greenwood Forest Park. Take part in an Easter egg hunt as you make your way round the 27 acres of water slides, roller coasters, bouncy jumpers and moon karts.

If you haven’t already made plans, but you fancy a spring break, check out the availability at Castle Reach here. There are only a few short breaks left this spring but the autumn is a magical time to visit North Wales too!
