Holiday House Conwy - Blog
It's not just the stunning beaches, marvellous mountains and adreneline adventure activities that make North Wales such a great holiday destination. Here are a few highlights of other things that are going on in and around Conwy. For further details of events and activities taking please near Castle Reach please visit my Facebook page.
Late spring and early autumn are arguably the best times of year to visit North Wales. The beaches are almost empty, in autumn the sea is at its warmest after the hot summer months and the climate is perfect for hiking. The weather is often good (sometimes better than during the summer holiday months!), and holiday accommodation is much cheaper.
I'm often reading articles that claim that 'North Wales is the adventure capital of the UK'. But what does this actually mean? Surely people come to North Wales to walk in the impressive national park, enjoy the miles of stunning coastline, or simply to relax and eat bara brith in one of the many tea rooms? Whilst the close proximity to the sea and mountains is a winning combination for many, it is this unique landscape that makes it an adventure playground for others. And Surf Snowdonia have recently revealed that in 2019 - alongside their world first inland surf lagoon - they are openning a new 'Adventure Parc' which will include activities such as indoor climbing and caving, mountain bike trails and pump tracks, bouldering as well as instructer led expeditions across North Wales.
